Zoya
Krioukova began her
first painting ever at a Fusionart painting retreat in 2007. She took a
brush
into her hands and began to paint, and had a very emotional reaction:
“I sobbed
and laughed, felt frozen and danced, and experienced the most amazing
release
and joy in the end. It was an incredible process of letting go and
becoming a
curious and exploring child, which started my inner journey of
discovery.”
Each of Zoya’s
paintings expresses the state of her psyche in a particular time in her
life. She
explains, “I feel that the more I find wholeness within myself, the
more I
could harmoniously express my inner stories. I see myself as a
storyteller and
I like to share my stories with people and hear their stories back. I think that sharing our life stories could
be the most precious gift we could give to each other. It seems to me
that the
more we connect and share our live stories together, the more we will
be able
to step away from objectifying each other and feel love and compassion
for the
struggles as well as joys of each other.”
Zoya’s
paintings are invitations to have fun
and make your own story when you look at them! |
